The canton of the same name has a long industrial history behind it. Hikers, mountaineers, cyclists and amateur geologists will be delighted by the wide variety of activities and excursions available to them.
A mere 50 miles from Zurich, you find one of Switzerland's most beautiful mountain resorts: high above the Linth-Valley lies Braunwald, surrounded by some of the most impressive peaks of the Swiss Alps. Here for more than 100 years the name of Alexanders Tödiblick has stood for great food and traditional Swiss hospitality in the relaxed atmosphere of a typical Swiss Chalet.
Up to this date we are proud to welcome guests from all over the world, families as well as honeymooners or any hikers travelling beautiful Switzerland on their own.
The alpine resort of Braunwald in summer is a great place for mountain climbing, trekking, paragliding or just exploring an abundance of colorful alpine flowers and wildlife. In winter, it offers beautiful slopes for downhill as well as cross country skiing, sledging or a joyful ride on the Snowboard. A skating rink and many miles of snow-covered romantic paths tempt the guests who prefers the quiet side of winter sports. For these, a romantic ride in a horse-drawn sleigh, crowned with a real Swiss fondue may well be one of the reasons to come back to Alexander's Tödiblick year after year..
We are looking forward to being your hosts
